Volunteering Opportunities for Kids in Central Ohio: Make a Difference and Teach Valuable Life Lessons

LEON was established in 2002 as a network and cooperative of individuals, organizations, businesses, and agencies committed to promoting a healthy Latino community in Central Ohio by creating and funding education and empowerment programs. The Mid-Ohio Food Collective provides more than 170,000 meals a day to people in need in eastern and central Ohio. Teenage volunteers can work in many areas, such as the information desk, the gift store, the clubhouse for siblings, the waiting rooms of the clinics, the centers close to the home, and in offices. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help in gardening workshops; help plant, sow, and remove weeds; build structures and signs in the garden; and participate in digital marketing and fundraising projects. Finally, See Kids Dream is an organization that provides volunteer opportunities for children. They are looking for volunteers for their youth support group and mentoring program when it comes back up and running in September.
